Post-holiday health
Well, I think my stomach is on the heal (battered by multiple bacterial infections as well as the antibiotics to cure the same infections) with B12 + folic acid to repair my stomach lining. But then we found out my nephew Matthew has whooping cough. We spent the Christmas holiday with him and our family in Chicago where there seems to be an epidemic. So, we all got on antibiotics again to catch it early and to avoid infecting anyone else. Hopefully this will be my last round of antibiotics for a long time!! We just found out that no one else in the household has it, so we probably don't have it either...it's not that easy to pass. However, we all have nasty coughs (which we thought might be whooping cough), so it seems that was a parallel illness running through my family over Christmas. Ixchel has a little throat/tonsil infection, so she's also on antibiotics and has not been able to go back to her nido. We're all a little stir crazy...especially since the weather is nice here now! Alex' Aunt Vicki arrives this coming week and we should be healthy and ready to show her Lima and we'll see what else.

Do you read these comments? Oh well. I hope so. I hope your stomach will continue to get better. That is a serious drag. Must be a real downer for you. I hope they can really figure out what it is.

alex, those anti-biotics are long-term hell on the immuno-system -- especially the little one's -- but what a trap we are in (in that regard), no. i hope everyone recovers well and stock up on the beneficial ("probiotics").
